For this walk I returned to the Lomonds & Craigmead car park. This time though I was going to tackle the East Lomond before returning to the car. Crossing the road from the car park at Craigmead leads to a path with a bit of a steep climb. once over that it’s a gentle rise to the peak of the East Lomond, Once again I decided not to take the direct route and skirted round the hill while moving upward. I came across the trig point that is actually lower than the summit. It’s got a wee memorial marker beside it dedicated to a couple that must have walked there many times.
Once on the summit there is a view indicator rather than the trig point. It’s good to be able to identify some of the bigger hills around from that. There was a great view today, better than there was when I was on the West hill. Lots of snow covered northern hills to see.

I used Strava this time to map the walk, just to give myself options, however, I’m not as keen on it as ViewRanger. My plan is to do both of these walks again, then I’ll combine them, hopefully before Xmas.
